These glass beads are perfectly round balls (no holes). The size of each tiny glass sphere within each size varies, which allows the balls to nestle together closer and create a lovely filling.
They come in two sizes
Small – 1.55mm – 1.85mm
Medium – 2.40mm – 2.80mm
Choose between 250 grams (8.82oz) and 500 grams (17.64oz)
Smaller sizes give a more compact solid feeling.
Soda Lime Glass – Manufactured in Germany
When making Waldorf Dolls/Natural Fiber Art Dolls, sew a small pouch from a double layers of jersey to fill with the beads. You can then wrap that bag with wool batt. Ensure toy and safety regulations in your country for the use of glass beads.
The balls can also be used to fill weighted blankets (contact me for large amounts – discounts over 10kg)
Use them to make sensory toys.
Glass filler used in reborn dolls.
Perfect to add inside needle felted items to create heft. Objects filled with these beads can be washed.
Smaller balls create a more dense weight (because the beads have less air space between them, they create more density). The larger size will create more "flop" in an object.
