Traditionally mohair yarn has been used to make hair for Waldorf Dolls/Waldorf inspired dolls for years.

This mohair has extra long fibers that can be "teased" out of the yarn when crocheting a cap for the hair of a doll (check youtube for instructions). It can also be used to make long, fluffy hair for dolls. I love crocheting a cap with this mohair and then also hook on a few longer strands and braid those into lovely small braids. The fibers are long enough to make tiny pig tails on a small doll (30cm-12") or smaller.

You can use a small animal brush to brush out the hair after crocheting the wig cap.
