100% Kapok Fibre
Kapok fiber is harvested from a tree called the Ceiba tree or the silk cotton tree. The fiber is harvested and the trees are left standing.
The fiber fluff is buoyant. I was the choice stuffing for teddy bears until the invention of synthetic fibers in the 1950's.
A great alternative for stuffed toys, for those allergic to wool, but searching for a natural alternative.
If you need large amounts, please PM me and I can special order it for you.
Kapok can be used fluffy or very tightly packed.
In terms of compression, I recently shipped out 1kg and packaged it to: 37 x 28 x 20 cm – that is putting it into a bag and using strong packaging tape and quite a lot of muscle.
