Mixed colour Pulled Silk - Silk Cloud

Mixed colour Pulled silk -- also known as Silk Cloud (see the separate listing for the solid colours)

Sold in 20gr (.7oz) and 50gr (1.75oz)

Made from recycled sari fabrics -- this fibre has been turned into a delicate cloud of fibres.

Uses:
1. Laid out finely in a thin layer over wool to wet felt sheen into your textile.
2. Card into your batts to add noil-like texture
3. Spin by itself for a silk yarn (it has a short staple)
4. Silk Paper making
5. Needle felting -- use a fine needle 40+ gauge to add interesting texture
6. Spin it over a core for art yarn.
7. Add a twist by hand and use small pieces for weaving effects.
8. Couch it for embroidery
