Under Jersey is he base material for making Waldorf/Steiner dolls. It is the first layer over the wool ball that forms the head if you wish to use a material that is thicker than the stockinette. The stretch makes it perfect to wrap around a woolball or a base head made from wool and under jersey.
You can also use this fabric as a lining fabric when sewing your doll. If you double it (sewing all 4 layers together) on the doll's limbs (I wouldn't recommend it for the head) -- you will make the fabric smoother when stuffed.
