Swiss Mountain Sheep wool (Walliser / Valais), produced by a small family mill in Switzerland. This batt wool comes from sheep grazing high in the Alps and is dyed using solar-heated water. With a short staple length (2–4 cm), it felts quickly and densely, making it excellent for needle felting, wet felting, spinning, and general wool crafts. Ideal for both beginners and experienced felters. Available in 51 rich colours: 5 natural blends and 46 dyed shades. Product of Switzerland.

Swiss Mountain Sheep wool (Walliser (Valois) Sheep). This fibre is sold in batt format. It is produced by a small family owned company in Switzerland. The sheep spend their summers up in the alps, using ancient old roman roads to travel. They fibres are dyed using solar energy to heat the water.

But that is just how it’s made – you will love this fibre for needle felting or wet felting. Because the wool has short staple length (2-4cm), it is very easy to make a solidly needle felted object. If used in wet-felting, this wool is perfect for the beginner and experienced felter alike to make items such as slippers, bags, home items. It makes a very closed felt.

The gorgeous, rich, deep colours come in 51 colours – 5 natural mixes (undyed) and 46 dyed colours. Also a wonderful wool for spinning and wool crafting.
